Will The Church Be The Church For Homosexuals?

Wesley Hill, a celebate homosexual Christian has a pretty insightful article about the church being a place for homosexual Christians.

As one who thinks that this is another area where we are getting it wrong, I am looking for solutions.

So I posted a comment, and now it's not there... lame.

Here's my second go.

I wonder how many of those at our local church gatherings are struggling with such feelings as Wesley and have been silent all this time due to their being scared of the church's response. I think we might all be surprised at the result.

And so with that I thought, being in the position you are in Brad, maybe speaking on the issue and bringing it more into the light might give those in silent pain the courage to bring it up with someone and find a bit of freedom in having the comfort and strength of another believer. Providing an open door in a sense.

There are of course other ways of helping with this area where the church has fallen short, not to lay it all on the pastors of the churches... Was just the first thought that came to my head.
